Conjecture: SS plants bomb at GOP convention and explodes it

Minor damages and Bush protected by his bomb proof bubble. Bombing will be blamed on protestors, and they know just who to blame because the FBI has just done all the field work interviewing people they think "might be dangerous" and who are going to the convention to protest.

In one fell swoop, Bush gets sympathy vote, nation is frightened, protestors are vilified and hundreds are locked up.

Voting during the elections will be like entering a nazi HQ all over the country.

haven't at least considered such a scenario. It would be another "trifecta" for Chimpy. 1) Demonize the Terrorists/Liberals 2)Get Rid of people who hate his anyway; and 3) Vote for poor wittle Geogie who narrowly escaped the terror plot on his life.

3. I'm just trying to piece together their actions to date

1/ Hype about violence at the GOP convention when all previous protests, even at the height of tension pre-war, were entirely peaceful.

2/ Police bringing in weapons previously only used in combat - ear splitter and perhaps the microwave "long-range heater".

3/ FBI pre-emptively visiting all the people they know who are activists and are going to NYC

4/ Denial of permits for spurious and unsupported reasons (making any gathering at all illegal and therefore subject to forcible attack)

5/ Jeb and Powell not going to be there... why would any of the top prominent republcans NOT be there?

6/ COINTELPRO has been resurrected and there are already known operatives working inside protest groups.

7/ Why pick NYC if it wasn't so that they could have a large confrontation on the streets?

8/ Flagging polls

9/ Color level warnings not working any more

10/ Election really close

Too many variables to really guarrantee success.

Besides why bother? There are enough wackos out there who seem quite willing to do this without any help from BFEE.

4. I think it's too risky

Something could go wrong and DimSon could get hurt. I suppose they could pull this before he gets there. And, it wouldn't surprise me if they "find" a bomb planted somewhere in the building. Though either scenario would lead to questions about if they can't secure one building how can they be trusted to secure the country.

but not too much. I think the scenario you present is unlikely. MSG is going to be the hardest target in the country to hit. They've made a big deal of protecting it, and so if it does get hit it'll be seen as a security failure (all this brass for what?), or worse, an inside job.

IF, again IF, there is a false flag bombing op in the works, it will be a device exploded in and amongst the protestors. Dead would be cops and protestors.

The spin would be "look at these poor americans who were fooled and deluded and used by the terraists. There would be sympathy for the dead, and a resulting massive crackdown on any future protests in the name of defending the protestors themselves. It will become "dangerous" to protest because thats what the terraists use.

personally, I think the BFEE is going to be satisfied with violent clashes between new york civilians and NYPD. They already have the spin memos printed and rehearsed. The City's refusal to budge on permits is a set-up for violence.
