I have always found the rightwing portrayal of F911 as propaganda and Mike Moore as Leni Riefenstahl with a dick to be ridiculous. But somehow could not find that one phrase that could sum up why I think its stupid to call F911 propaganda. Well, I finally found one. Check this out:

"To denigrate this as propaganda is either naive or perverse, forgetting (deliberately?) what the last century taught us. Propaganda requires a permanent network of communication so that it can systematically stifle reflection with emotive or utopian slogans. Its pace is usually fast. Propaganda invariably serves the long-term interests of some elite."
-- John Berger(http://www.dawn.com/2004/08/25/op.htm#1)

See that line in bold? That is SO true! All propaganda is aimed to create a public image desired by ruling cliques. Mike Moore, on the other hand, is just speaking for ordinary individuals isn't he? He doesn't represent entrenched business houses or the military or even the two dominant political parties. He's just taking the common person's side isn't he?

Why rednecks are against Mike Moore is a mystery worthy of a Sherlock Holmes investigation... He's speaking for them too!

1. It's not a mystery at all...
red necks love their guns
and love their angry god

The hate the darkies
and hate the towel heads

Who else would they vote for but Bush?

2. You know, that definition of propaganda...
Applies perfectly to Fox "News".
