What's the most egregious act by a "journalist"...
...or news outlet that you've seen this year?

Be specific ("Iraq War" would be too generic).

2. I'd have to say Judith Miller's comments on the role of journalists.
I don't remember the exact words, but it was something like, 'as a journalist my job is to convey to the public what the White House tells me- without editorializing'.

She basically said the press is supposed to act as a PA system for the powerful.

3. Yes, her job IS to convey to the public what the WH tells her, without
editorializing. That is being objective. What she THEN has to do is investigate what the WH told her, and report on whether their information holds up. That second part is what they all seem to forget!
