Tweety back to same old BS
Has Laura Ingraham and JC Watts on to smear Kerry. Dee Dee Myers is on via satelite, but keeps getting interupted by those two and unable to speak.

Tweety just sits there supposedly playing "hardball". He's really just running the Jerry Springer show of politics.

5. And the rest of us don't? We who don't make nearly as much as he does?
He makes enough to have been able to build up a nice nest egg for his child's college expenses and for retirement. No sympathy here, and I take it your comment was somewhat sarcastic, so I doubt you have any either.

6. The whole mess sidesteps the fact that the whole attack is
based on lies. I kept switching channels to find something on the two reports about torture at Abe Ghraib but Aaron Brown seemed to be the
only cable news to do anything on it. Fox is staying on the Peterson thing except to do more crap on the lies against Kerry.

8. He was good to Cleland
He started with a long interview with Cleland, without a Republican to oppose him because Chris said they declined to send a representative. Chris was very good to Cleland and let him speak uninterrupted for long periods of time. When Chris questioned him he allowed Cleland to dodge the question and instead repeat his talking points. I noticed this particularly when Matthew asked him who came up with this idea. At the end he praised Cleland while taking a backhanded swipe at Kerry. All in all about as good as could be hoped.

The panel discussion with Watts, Ingraham, and Myers was awful!! Ingraham is a harpy, she was allowed to go on and on in her horrid loud voice, and Myers, a weakling to start with and fighting two on one, was marginalized and interrupted by both Matthews and Ingraham.

It reminded me of the final days of Donahue, when he'd have a panel stacked with extreme right wing nuts.

I've come to the conclusion that Matthews makes up his mind on an issue (often getting it wrong) then shills shamelessy for his chosen side. Like the girl with the curl when he's good (on your side) he's very very good, when he's bad (on the other side) he's horrid. He can be so unfair to his guests it's amazing. When he's brutalizing someone you don't like you think "FINALLY someone is taking this guy on." Other times he drives you crazy.
