This morning I have come up with a great idea for energy conservation.

This is so momemntous it is likely to solve our energy problem for the next 100 years!.

Let us say we bring back all the soldiers, tanks, APC's, Humvees,aircraft carriers and related paraphernalia in Iraq as a first step.I guarantee you this will save so much petroleum that we won't need Iraq's oil at all!

As a next step, let us say that over the next five years, we close all the bases in Saudi Arabia, Germany, Kazakstan and God only knows where else,and we can keep saving more and more gas!

Every time we run into a fuel shortage situation, we keep closing a new base.It is like finding a new source of free oil!

So next time somebody says we have to fight a war to get at the oil, let us tell them NOT FIGHTING A WAR WILL SAVE MORE OIL AND GAS THAN FIGHTING ONE!

Not to mention saving some poor kid's lives and their arms and legs!
