Once again Clinton was right
Edited on Thu Aug-26-04 03:29 PM by HootieMcBoob
How many times did he say to the Republicans send me a bill that bans late term abortion with an exception for the health/life of the mother and I'll sign it?

More than once as I recall and they would not do it because it would have taken off the table one of their issues. They don't give a damn about late term abortion all they care about is using it as a cudgel to hit people over the head with. So now instead of a ban on late term abortion which Clinton would have signed what do they have? Jack Shit that's what!

When will people wake up and see that these people are full of shit?

<on edit: spelling>

2. That's not true. Even they know they are full of shit
I don't think I have ever seen or met a Republican that I felt genuinely cared about this country and wanted to make it better. I really don't think they give a shit about any of that.

3. yes. Larry Flynt in his new book says when he ran the ad to get
dirt on repukes during the impeachment trials, he got a phone sex woman calling him saying that one of the repukes (sorry, can't remember which) had told her on the phone (recorded) that he didn't really buy all that family values, that he just says that on television for politics. But Flynt couldn't use it because is was Pennsylvania and 2 party consent laws apply for recorded phone conversations.

5. They sure are full of it!
The smart republicans know that such a bill, with such an exception (for the health/life of the mother), would be little different from the way it is now. No reputable physician would perform such an abortion unless the pregnancy endangered the mother. Clinton is smart enough to know that signing such a bill would have zero impact on abortion.

7. Actually, if I recall correctly,
the original Roe v. Wade had such language in it. This has actually been a non-issue for over thirty years, but good for a pissy argument anytime.
