4. Not to mention a couple of COINTELPRO plants
It's an old, old tactic of the repressive right to plant a couple of outside agitators in groups the defenders of the status quo deem to be subversive. Remember the segment in F911 when the little peace and justice group in California was surprised to see one of their own turn out to be an undercover cop?

8. AH, yes, when dealing with peacful protests, some federalies can be
counted upon to ensure less than peaceful events. All it takes is a small handful of plants in a group to really make a mess. With the Patriot Act in place now, a couple of plants making trouble could land a whole lotta people in serious trouble.

Be aware out there.

Peace & Power to the People.

5. I believe she has a good point. The demonstrations must go
forward but any acting out will be used to the advantage of the Repubs. Good pro/con discussion on today's Democracy Now with Amy Goodman.

12. You're missing the point.
What Randi is talking about is anyone committing violence or damaging property.

9. Last night that POS O'Reilly made the connection between protesters
And terrorists, calling for strict enforcement and prosecution. (He mentioned the "liberal" judges are another matter.)

He seemed especially fearful of terrorists throwing marbles under the hooves of police horses.

This has to be at urban legend status by now.
Images of a horse flailing about with legs going akimbo because of a handful of marbles is the stuff of Satuday morning cartoons.

The only injury likely from such a tactic would probably be the quick clubbing of the miscreant.

11. My point, as a former horse owner was that it doesn't work like that
Edited on Thu Aug-26-04 04:31 PM by JohnnyRingo
Trail riders easily navagate terrain unreachable by humans.

A horse hoof is NOT FLAT nor solid, it can easily absorb the size of the marble. Though there may be a little discomfort, the retribution would give Ol' Nelly the last horselaugh as she walks over the marbles to deliver the officer to the would be "disrupter"

14. If an anti-Shrub demonstrator so much as kicks a pebble in the street
the "librul" media will paint it as massive attack against the War Hero President, even though he is just swinging by his own coronation for a short time.

16. Thats PERFECT !!!!

We need seens of Pinkerton Thugs beating the hell out of peaceful protestors. This is the 60s all over again.

Have no doubt that the marchers that followed King KNEW, they didn't not simply suspect, that they would be beaten. And THOSE IMAGES were their salvation.
