Donna Brazille--Expert or Incompetent?
Am I the only person on the planet who sees Al Gore's ex campaign manager as an absolute neophyte? I have watched her in TV spot after spot and have never seen her come up with ANY new idea or slant on any issue. No wonder, in my book, Gore wasn't far enough ahead of the Douche to put him away decisively enough so Florida would never even have been at issue. Can't she turn to her opponent and say anything like--"We know where John Kerry was during Vietnam, now tell us where the hell was George Douche?" God, what a wuss!
She may be, and probably is, a wonderful human being, but how did she ever become someone to answer any serious political question? By accident, or old dumb habit, I turned CNN on today and watched her destroy a chance to do good for this most important of challenges and, once again, she totally muffed it. Can we get up a community letter to send her and ask her to turn down any future appearances for the good of the country? Frankly, I'm disgusted.

22. Succinct and to the point! Didn't Gore have some words about her?
Something about firing his advisors if he had the 2000 race to run again?

I intend to write to Ms. Brazille, herself, but I doubt if her ego will allow her to turn down those appearance fees.

13. How can we find out?
I suppose it would be too much to ask for an official letter from DNC disowning her as a spokesperson. Yeah, I'm having a dream, too. We NEED tighter slander/libel standards in this country.

12. I lost for her when on CNN......
one day she said she and Carl Rove are good buddies. She likes him. She regularly has lunch with him. So, I ask you, wonder how much info he gets out of her? This was while 2000 campaign was going on too.

23. AFAICT, Karenna Gore ran Gore's campaign (into the ground). But, that
would be something you'd want to get an explanation from Brazille about, 'cause, prima faci, that would be her fault.

I also agree: I rarely hear her say anything that helps democrats.

Once I heard her talk about her sister who lived in Florida (IIRC) and some of the things she thought about the 2000 election, and I thought her sister sounds like the smart Democrat in the family.

24. I heard that she was largely
responsible for the fantastic voter turnout (democratic) and especially African American voter turnout. We did have a good turnout.nearly one million more democratic votes I think? Maybe this was just spin? (I heard it at the time of the election in 2000)

25. She's not just a poor representative for Democrats
She's a poor representative for black people. I know so many black people, who could debate most of the Republican pundits into the ground-- practically every single person in my family could.

She hesitates when she speaks, which causes any good point she makes to be lost.

She hardly ever asserts herself, which makes debating the rude Republicans almost impossible.

She tries too hard to be fair to the other side. If she wants to try out for the Ms. Congeniality award, CNN isn't the place. Giving up points to the other side may seem like a way to find middle ground, but in her case it almost never works.

I'm sure her job is harder than it looks, but can't they please just give somebody else a chance.

28. That's not funny-that's a wonderful idea!
Unfortunately I did not get to hear your interview-by the time I'd spotted the thread, time was no longer on my side. From the rave reviews, I gathered you must be about nine feet tall and ready to challenge Abraham Lincoln as the champion debater of all time! You do seem extraordinarily eloquent in your posts, so you have my vote!
My guess is these so-called pundits probably live near the cable TV offices, either in Atlanta or Washington D.C., to allow for their convenient callup for guest appearances. I get the impression you live in Texas, but with a mini cam and broadband connection, you could make yourself available.
Are you at all interested in participating?
On the other hand, the powers that be are not likely very interested in a real debate, and have scripted everything to contribute to their own warped view of what's important. Sure the game is crooked, but if you want to play, it's the only game in town. Attack, attack, attack-thats the only way we have even a chance. Oh, by the way, I'm sorry to be a little late getting back to this thread; a little bout of nature's anger slowed me down slightly.

30. Thanks..actually I am outside of Atlanta
You can still hear it. It will rerun this weekend. But I do tend to debate an issue to death ! And I have a bad habit of trying to get the last word. Last word is important in the south. LOL

When is it streamed? And needing to get the last word is okay; it's normal to feel the need for even this small victory.

Its not like Guy's archives but they sure a nice team to work with. it is radio left and they replay the interviews from the week all weekend long, the way I understood it. Thanks for wanting me to be a pundit for the Dems !
