LOL!Freeps in uproar- Ad w/General endorsing Kerry (former Bush Suuporter)
This has been playing over and over again in Florida -it's a great ad.

The ad can be viewed at http://www.democrats.org/stronger/ad.html

The script of the ad is below:

AUDIO
As a fighter pilot, I saw my share of combat.
As chief of staff, I led the Air Force during the first Gulf War.
And four years ago, I endorsed George Bush for President.
But this year, I¹m voting for John Kerry.

Nothing is more important to me than protecting America. John Kerry has the strength and common sense we need in a commander in chief. And something more - a real strategy to make America safer.

Here's the Freepers crying about it:

32. Yep, they've broke out their 'perfumed prince' moniker.
Some repuke operative came up with that one to slur Clark with during the primaries. Since then, they've used it on any officer that supports Kerry.

16. There are lots more of these ads coming
i read a story the other day in a back issue of The New Yorker. It was about the man who put these ads together -- he filmed dozens of former Bush voters who -- for a host of sensible reasons -- will not drink the kool aid again. The ads are all shot and in the can -- and they will roll them out one after the other.

The idea of the ads is to talk to any Republicans who have common sense, and to appeal to them to use it.

A gem
"You can also assume that the reason the general flip flopped and left Bush for Kerry, is that Bush didn't buy his support and the fine general is bitter that his pockets didn't grow under Bush."

Yeah, I guess one could assume that without any supporting evidence whatsoever if one was inclined to form opinions based on blind devotion and a complete lack of critical thinking... Oh, wait. Nevermind.

After writing hateful comments about the Air Force, the poster rebuffs negative responses with "oh...you are from California." I guess the motto here is "support our troops unless they are in the air force or from California." Typical freeper hypocrisy.

38. Not exactly what he meant
I pointed out in another thread, he said they're "traitors to rock-n-roll" which shouldn't be mixed with politics EVER. The freepers took this as an Alice Cooper endorsement, because they're tards.

Note - I don't agree with Alice, but I figured I'd just clarify the statement. I mean if rock-n-roll didn't mix with politics, CSN&Y would never have given us "Ohio" and no one would have ever heard "What's Goin' On"

51. They support the troops...
only as long as the troops support Bush. Troops who don't support Bush, like McCain, are derided as 'insane', 'bought off', 'traitors', 'girlie men', 'Californians', etc.

It's in the playbook: "We support the troops who support the President, when the President is Republican. We support the troops who deride the President when the President is Democratic."

Those freepers are idiots....like all the right, they can't spell, they can't think, they have no idea what they're talking about and they impune everyone even vaguely associated with whatever they are moaning about without a thought, and they all sound like they've hit some scum bar somewhere and are pissing their time away with a keg or two....I encountered lots of them, especially the ones from the south who called me incredible names because I am living in SF, CA, when I was owner of some internet stock and was posting on Raging Bull. GEZ$, all of them (this was in 2000) hootin' and hollerin' about how "everything was going to get better when George was Prez"....yeh, right. What's that stock worth now? Zero. I got one guy from NH so pissed at me that he revealed that his father was in the Bush administration (the first one) and that he was an important man still, and that "everyone better buy defense stocks when George became President because there is going to be a war."

That's howcome I was depressed when the chimp who didn't win the votes became the prez over the chump who did....they KNEW already. Scumbags.

42. Their heads are exploding
The Republicans have awoken in a Kafka novel. They've been telling themselves for years and years, that THEY are the only ones who could possibly defend America, and that Democrats are weak on defense. Now that we have the military heavyweights lined up in favor of our own military heavyweight candidate, the Republicans heads are exploding. They just can't bear to face the truth, so their heads blow up.
