How are Air America's Ratings?
Edited on Thu Aug-26-04 04:40 PM by Jack_Dawson
I've taken the summer off from the day-to-day goings on. Has a full ratings quarter come out yet?

1. I'm sure they're probably doing just fine, or you would
hear the usual suspects (Fox News, Drudge, Slimebaugh, etc.) crowing about it. Now, if only they could get back on the air here in Chicago! x(

5. The problems with those ratings..
...is that they don't include the people that listen via web streaming. Right? I know A LOT of people listen that way.

6. The ratings were very good, especially in the 18-35 demographic.
And they've added three new stations in the past two weeks, they're now up to 23.

Franken is overjoyed, because although he lags behind Limbaugh in NYC (and not by much), he handily beats O'Reilly!

9. Franken doesn't beat O'Reilly--Limbaugh does
It's extremely impressive that Franken came out of nowhere to be breathing down Rush's neck, but then again, we're talking about two different audiences. In New York, they both have the same noon-to-3PM time slot, whereas O'Reilly starts two hours later. I'm sure there are people who switch from Limbaugh to O'Reilly at 3PM, but I doubt that enough people switch from Franken to O'Reilly to show up in the ratings, LOL!

7. They are kicking butt when compared to the
first year of all the RWers combined

Rhandi Rhodes went over the numbers one night
on Majority Report I believe the words she used
"these numbers are unheard of in the radio business
for any start-up quarter "

10. Thanks for the tip, Billbuckhead!
I can use iTunes at work. That's what I'll do the next time the RealPlayer stream breaks down again!

11. I would listen to AAR a lot more but
it's tough to do DU and AAR on dial up with a ratty phone line out in the country (rural)
