Pat Buchannan said it was leaked to Kill the story and investigation. He said it must be huge in order for them to do it this way.

You have to take his comments about Kerry in the context of his ties to the Nixon administration. Pat Buchannan is an old-school Nixon republican, who quite naturally has a king-sized grudge against John Kerry. As such, he's prone to engage in either wishful thinking or outright smears on matters concerning John Kerry.

OTOH, he may be quite right about the FBI investigation -- unless it's fueled by his dislike of Jews. Hard to say.

the best defense was to leak it first on Fri night when noone is watching and then put some muscle and leverage into a deal to kill it by Monday.

It'll be interesting to see how AIr America handle the issue - Randi and Al Franken particularly. Randi is going to finally be forced to get in to Israel or stay completely away from the story.

what are we going to do? Invade Israel, don't think so. However, ever since 9/11 Independent news has kept reporting about Israeli spies. I never put much stock in it and until today, never thought it could be true. That Independent site has been right before, today I'm wondering about everything I've read for the last three years. The spies seem to have access to Rummy's office and the Pentagon. Who stands to gain from this, or what country?
