University N.D., Erickson lost part of his right arm in Iraq
Political Science major Brandon Erikson is shown on campus during the summer session at the University of North Dakota, Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, in Grand Forks, N.D. North Dakota's colleges and universities are preparing for hundreds more students like Erickson, 22, _ young North Dakotans who traded in backpacks and baseball caps for combat boots, desert camouflage and a tour of duty in Iraq (news - web sites). Erickson lost part of his right arm last July after insurgents attacked his convoy.
