Hey B Boomers.....what did we do wrong?
All this time I thought we were paying for a benefit that would help us in our old age.

I never saved alot...we had three kids.whom we fed decent meals to.dressed them well.went to public schools.bought their lunch's.

Took them to zoos and parks.all of which cost money...have a home which is not in the millions to own.

Kept up with the high home insurance rates and utility bills..haven't bought a new vehicle in years.......

Put all three through college with help of grants.which we still are paying on.....and the bush administration wants to cut our benefits in old age.....

I don't own the best....I don't buy furs and jewelry.......I don't have health insurance.......and you want me to vote for bush?.......WHY??

2. Just to Cheer You Up
Here's the demonic Shrub plan if he can steal another 4 years. Heck, if he does, he probably won't give up power at all, unless he wants to hang out in a baseball team locker room and passes the power to Jeb Crow Shrub.

And you thought his first term was a nightmare
What Bush has planned for America if he wins.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
By Charles Tiefer

Aug. 25, 2004 | .... Under Bush's slogan of an "ownership society," the Republicans intend a long-term effort, using changes in Medicare, Social Security and taxes to pit better-off and worse-off Democrats against each other, offering all-but-irresistible incentives for some to desert the others -- and any progressive national coalition. .... A second-term Bush agenda will constantly impale Democrats on the dilemma of abandoning their poorer, sicker, older and minority groups, or seeing their better-off, healthier and younger members lured off to the other party. If it sounds like a political nightmare for the Democrats, that's because that's what it is planned to be. ....

3. sorry

but our generation lost its lessons learned. Now that we are old enough to be in charge, the most rightwing government in a long time has taken over our country. I would have never imagined this scenario.

5. You want someone else to payyourway? You leftie commie socialist (sarcasm)
I got my tax cut. What the hell else IS there? If you don't vote for * (and I point out that GOD wants him to be President), then you are a leftie commie socialist atheistic pig!

Such is the typical response from Repubs in the other forums I post in. It's really highbrow stuff.

7. What, no furs, no jewelry, no health insurance???
At your age??? What are you, some kind of loser? Haven't you heard -- America is for WINNERS. Losers GET LOST.

Who cares what you think.

(Sorry for the heavy sarcasm. This just pisses me off so much I am incoherent.)

8. Who Knew ...?
I know what you mean. Who knew, given the gains the New Left made in the Sixties and Seventies, that Reaganism would smother us and there would be a right-wing backlash so cunning, so strong, so heavy, and so long-lasting?

Now Bush keeps Reaganism alive, and does so by claiming that God is on his side. That's the rub.

That's why I recommend you read a book titled What IS the World Coming To? (ISBN: 0-595-31998-X) It totally turns the tables on the Religious Right and exposed their bigotry and hypocrisy ... and not just the Christian Right, but the Muslim Right and Jewish Right as well.

You can brouse the full introduction at: <http://www.iuniverse.com/bookstore/book_detail.asp?&isbn=0-595-31998-X>
