Finally, Air America comes to Philly.
It's about time, I'd say.

http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/9520653.htm

Air America here

The liberal radio network Air America will have a Philadelphia presence starting Monday when Al Franken and Randi Rhodes bring their shows to WHAT 1340-AM.

Franken's show will air from noon to 3 p.m., with Rhodes following from 3 to 7 p.m. None of WHAT's on-air staff will be replaced, said General Manager Kernie Anderson, but there we be some schedule shifting.

Anderson said Air America's liberal, progressive viewpoints fall in line with the philosophies of the talk station's African-American audience.

1350 KABQ-AM

As far as Denver goes:

(from www.allaccess.com)

CLEAR CHANNEL's next liberal talk convert may be in DENVER, where Sports KKZN-A (THE ZONE) has dropped the sports talk and gone into a loop of President BUSH "bloopers." Look for the new format to debut MONDAY (8/30) at 7a MT. Meanwhile, THE ZONE's prize property, the syndicated JIM ROME show, will return to crosstown Sports KKFN-A (SPORTS RADIO 950 THE FAN) for 10a-1p as of MONDAY.

4. Excellent. AAR's also available in Northwest Chicago on FM 88.7....
... within 100 feet of my apartment, that is. :)

For those AAR-streaming users out there, I highly recommend the following combination of software/hardware:

Replay Radio -- for auto-tuning and recording the stream
C.Crane FM Transmitter -- for converting the PC-out audio to a low-power FM signal that you can then pick-up on radios within the range (wink) of the unit

It sounds like the FM transmitter may also be useful for XM and Sirius users.

Not sure when we'll get a station, but I'm hopeful we'll get one eventually.

7. Yay! Huzzah!
That means that, when I have to make the trip to my birthplace in October for a niece's wedding, I might be able to pick up Air America once I get through the Lehigh Tunnel.

Do you have any tips on how to get it to air in the Central New York State (Syracuse, Utica, Ithaca, etc.) area?
