I often cite articles by Jim Lobe in the World Media Watch. He is an analyst for Foreign Policy in Focus. If you use their search engine --
Lobe Iran -- you will come up with a bevy of stories he wrote about a year ago about Iran. This is excellent background stuff for what may be brewing beneath the spy story.

While at the site, peruse some of the other stuff....it's damned scary!!
