From babes in arms to the most senior of seniors.
Soccer moms and Nascar dads, preppies, hippies, goths, punkers, and just plain folks.
Married, single, gay, straight, bi.
Christian, Jew, Hindu, Moslem, Wiccan, and godless atheist.
Short and tall, fat and skinny, pierced and non.
Long hairs, short hairs, no hairs.
And still they came. By the thousands. For hours they came.

The capitol city of the world had never seen anything like it.
But they were not an unruly mob. No, no.
They were very ruly, and united in a common purpose.
To end the travesty of democracy that their country's "administrators" had created.
They presented to the world the real face of America and the true nature of democracy.
And they gave me hope.
My deepest thanks to all who answered the call.
