big lead story on march on evening news....so, even tho CSpan carried it, the big 3 are reporting it extensively...interviewed "Teachers for Peace"....interviewing many different marchers and asking them why they are there..."unclear if this big protest will change anyone's minds who are watching this protest on TV at home"

1. I was surprised as well!

I rarely watch NBC, Tom Brokaw usually makes me want to throw things at my TV. But I must admit they did a nice of piece of coverage, quite friendly to the protest with some good clips. I'm pretty amazed!

3. Surprising indeed. Perhaps they're realizing that's one helluva huge

potential audience out there - that, so far, they've been ignoring. Either that, or they're afraid they'll get deluged with critical email/phone calls if they underreport it, because they KNOW too many people were there and saw, with their own eyes, how it really was.

and both emphasized how peaceful the marchers had been considering the size of the march (and they both had good estimates on the crowd size too).
