MTV music awards.. so nutcase repug said that the crowd boo'ed

1. Was it some kind of MTV for western musicians??? Why would

they booo the Kerry daughters if it is the main stream music people who seem to be Dems.

2. They were booing the Bush girls, who were on a video

feed being shown to the crowd. Conveniently though, when MTV switched to the Bush video feed, all the crowd background noise was cut out, so they were able to continue in relative silence.

Fucknut announcer announced the Bush girls first, but the Kerry girls came out first, so they got booed by the boobs who didn't know who they were. When they said, "vote for my dad, john kerry", the boos turned to cheers.

It was just dumbasses not knowing who was who.

8. That' s not what happened exactly.

The Bush twins (who were there via sattelite) were booed. The Kerry girls were mostly cheered. There were some boos for them but very, very briefly and they were quickly drowned out. They kept showing the Bush twins on a giant screen and the crowd was reacting. It was a horribly produced segement.

One interesting thing is we finally got to hear the Bush girls speak. Jenna sounds even more stupid than I could have possibly imagined. A husky voice with a Texas twang. Highly annoying.

Looks like some freepers got excited and submitted this to Drudge. Most people in the crowd don't even know what political party Bush or Kerry belongs too, nor will they probably vote. The Kerry girls came out and a mix of cheers and boos erupted (mostly cheers). The Bush twins had a pre-taped segment and MTV picked it up with direct sound right from the tape (you couldn't hear the crowd), during this they showed a quick shot of Vanessa Kerry trying to wave down an obvious hostile reaction most likely booing the Bush girls.

Ahhh... Add this to Matt's greatest misses (next to the Kerry affair).

Listen, I'm 23, and my musical tastes are about as anti-MTV as you can get. That said, I really don't think its fair to say "Most people in the crowd don't even know what political party Bush or Kerry belongs too, nor will they probably vote."

I'm sure its true that some people there are clueless teenagers who aren't even old enough to vote, and some who don't care about politics, but my bet is you'd be surprised just how many do care, and who are going to vote for Kerry. I garauntee you, we'll be seeing the largest 18-30 voter turnout in decades this year. There is a huge voter participation movement in the music world, and as much as I despise MTV's musical tastes, they do a good job with their rock the vote organization.

Aside from that, though, you're right! Very stupid on Drudge's part.

11. it's my understanding....

that the announcer (Carson Daly..a dim bulb at best) introduced "the Bush girls" as the Kerry daughters took the stage and then said "the Kerry girls" as the pre-taped Bush girls video was introduced. I also heard that as the Kerry daughters were speaking, the audience was looking at the Bush twins on the vid screens. Basically, it was a MTV fuck up and poor producing all around. Of course, the right0wing has already launched into this as anti-Kerry...whatever! Let them (the RW) have their desperate grasps...they are turning the corner...right into a waiting brick wall!
