Got automated call from * today reminding me to vote absentee ballot
I live in Maine. Has anyone else gotten one of these calls? I am wondering how the heck they know I have voted absentee before.

1. How annoying is that?!
Bloomberg hit my machine every day, twice on some days for about 2 weeks prior to his ill-fated election. This is one of the do not call loopholes they left for themselves.

2. I haven't, but I never voted absentee.
I wonder if Dan Gwadowsky's office is aware of this? Maybe it's public domain?

4. I've seen a couple of threads to this effect.
You aren't (or weren't at one time) registered GOP, are you? Don't worry; I won't tell. I stayed registered GOP for the longest time after I stopped supporting people like George H. W. Bush; I can't remember why - I was young and stupid, I guess. Anyway, that's the only explanation I can come up with for why the Bush campaign would be auto-dialing you like that. They want you to send in your ballot before you've had time to change your mind.

7. I have never registered anything but Dem.
I would have said Independent but I like the option of taking part in primaries. No one in my family has ever been GOP (all indies or dems) so I am very puzzled. I would be more irritated but I figure their call cost them a little money they could otherwise be using to spread lies and spin against Kerry so I am not totally ticked off.

5. well, they're obviously doing this for a reason . . .
and it's not a reason that will favor Kerry . . . maybe they plan to invalidate Kerry votes for technical reasons? . . . like signatures that they claim don't match? . . .

6. They expect bad news breaking late in the campaign...
....and they want that ballot in the mail soon, so you can't change your mind later.

They know that Kerry's got a little something for later.
