Personally, I like Randi, she is just far more pleasant to listen to. :) Or maybe it just seems that way because she's on during the day and the sun is shining, heh.

I have been listening to Mike since he was in Chicago on WLS, I liked him them, and like him even better now. To be fair though, Randi Rhodes is very good, it's just that I haven't listened to enough of her shows.

He's commented numerous times "I'm beginning to hate this country." He does NOT nor ever will have the respect of military veterans. He talked about moving to France. Go for it! Again, he pisses people off and divides the liberals from the moderates. Malloy is in "left field" for those of us with more moderate political views, i.e., to the right of Kucinich.

Because Malloy represents IMHO the "way out there" FAR left AND because he's stated numerous times, "I'm beginning to hate this country," this woman Veteran (+ wife of a retired USMC Officer, Daughter of a battlefield commissioned WWII Father, and the Sister of a decorated (101st Abn) Vietnam Veteran) thinks Mike Malloy does not deserve our respect.

My ancestors did not serve in combat back to the Civil War for some far left radio talk show man to show his appreciation by saying, "I'm beginning to HATE THIS COUNTRY. That's UNSAT.

But you're right, other Veterans may be willing to overlook his thowing in the towel on our Democracy. My immediate family put their lives in danger to defend the USA.

This Veteran chooses to put her support behind someone who gives useful suggestions and hope ... who also happens to be an Air Force Veteran.

I'm not putting Malloy down, however, I get the impression some of you folks idolize him. That's fine also if you feel that his rant's represents your viewpoints. He's way too far left for my taste, that's my ONLY VALID point. :-) Your mileage may vary. After all, it's a free country. ;)

I like Mike's soul and rages, but Randi shows us where to find facts, facts I could never find on my own. I want to make informed decisions , a first time voter. The evil is obvious this time, as is the apathy and the war between science and religion. Mike does not inform, he is a pressure release for me.

We switched from XM to Sirius to get Randi Rhodes and I love her show, but got to admit, after listening to Mike's reruns early in the morning, I like his show a little better, but they are both great! Heck, I even started listening to Morning Sedition again, they come on after Mike Malloy in the morning. There is not enough time in the day and too many good shows on Sirius, I like The Young Turks as well and recently I have been listening a lot to "Folktown" where they play anti-war, anti-bush songs throughout the day. I went from hardly listening to radio to 10 hours a day of radio, but that will change when I get well enough to return to work.

We need BOTH of them! Some guy on a c-span rerun was answering a quesstion from his audience (show this past Sat or Sun) about how we can win the battle over the RW talk show hosts. His response was currently in this country, you have the Right & the Middle. In order to move more of the country to the middle, you have to have a very strong harsh left talk radio. It's like diluting a drink. If you only add a ginger ale, not much happens. If you add a good bit of ginger ale, you still have a good drink, it's just not as strong.

My favorite at the moment is a toss up between Ray Taliferro and Mike Malloy. Both have been reading my emails on air this past week too. Ray is letting me respond to a Rove spy that has been calling his show - he uses new names each time, but the voice and talking points are the same. I've challenged him to enilst and fight for his Führer, so we're waiting to see if he calls again. If he does, then we'll know he's a coward.
