WTDY/Madison will become "Madison's Progressive Talk" on Sept. 7, replacing Sean Hannity with syndicated host Ed Schultz, who moves from nights. Schultz's old shift will be filled by the nationally syndicated Stephanie Miller Show. (Radio and Records reports.)

1. Are they going to finally get rid of O'Reilly's show, too?
Until then, I'll stick with WORT for progressive talk/news during the day. Sly on TDY is really good sometimes, but O'Reilly has me tuning out afterwards.

Lately, I've been sticking to AAR on the net. Maybe WTDY could drop O'Reilly and pick up Al Franken's show. THEN they can try to be "Madison's Progressive Talk".

7. When we lived in Madison
We listened to Sly every morning.....back when he was on the rock station.

We still miss his show, he was funny, kind of a jerk sometimes, but always relevant.

9. Yeah he was on WIBA
We listened to Social Dilemma every morning as we got ready for work and on the way to work.

Then we moved to the Chicago 'burbs and thought that was a radio wasteland.....until we got to Iowa!

6. Eau Claire will be getting a low-power lefty station.
WHYS, scheduled to go on the air this fall. They also investigated doing a netcast version but it's apparently too expensive.
