A Day in the Life of Howard Dean.....Oregon was today.
http://www.blogforamerica.com/archives/005020.html

SNIP..."Today Governor Dean was in Oregon. Lindsay Lewis, who's traveling with him this week, just called from a GOTV rally with Dean Dozen candidate Tom Potter, who is running for mayor of Portland. He shouted over the noise of several hundred cheering people to give a brief run-down of the day.

After the flight to Portland and some media interviews, Governor Dean dropped by the League of Conservation Voters canvass office in Portland. He met with Deb Callahan, the president of LCV, and over 50 organizers from Oregon and around the country who are working to deliver that crucial state (you can join them, too):

3. Dean and Potter campaigning door to door. What a great story!

SNIP..."Light-blue shirt dappled with sweat, former presidential contender Howard Dean walked the sunny streets of north Portland on Monday to stump for mayoral candidate Tom Potter."

SNIP.."During his tour Monday, led by Potter and community civil rights activist Harold Williams Sr., Dean shook hands and chatted with neighborhood residents about the upcoming mayoral and presidential elections.

Gloria Green-Wickliff, who greeted the men on the front porch of her yellow, two-story Victorian house, said the visit from one of the nation's most prominent political figures shows how serious Potter is about winning.

"That's one way to get support," Green-Wickliff said with a laugh.
Although not a Dean supporter, she said, "I might vote for Potter now, perhaps."

SNIP.."One neighborhood man, Mark Washington, jumped out of his car to shake hands with the former presidential candidate. "Take care, Mr. Dean," he said.

"It's great to see him out here in the neighborhood," said Washington, who supported Dean during the presidential primary season. "I love it."
