2. speaker was introducing McCain but was referring to Bush
Something about * quitting drinking and picking up on God.

He didn't say terrorists; he said Arabs.

3. Yeah I heard it too.
But I heard it on the Majority Report. I thought it was a joke or something on the RNC but that was actually said....great just great. Is Al-jazeera covering this convention in its entirety like the DNC ?

4. Good grief.
And George was getting desperate about picking up a few Arab-American votes just the other day.

Gee, it would be too bad if they noticed.

5. Janeane and Sam said nothing about it

That's why I was questioning my hearing.

Killing terrorists is one thing. Killing Arabs is something totally different.

8. It was a parody
I missed that phrase, but they did a skit about "cutting to the convention to listen to a general" which included much praise of chimpy's willingness to do beer runs for the frat no matter how drunk he was, and went on to other such achievements.

10. Thanks. I was afraid the war on terror was escalating.
I should have been listening more closely.

9. I heard it, too...
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 09:53 PM by Tamyrlin79
I thought the whole entire speech was embarrassing... He was talking about W being drunk, and all kinds of stuff that you wouldn't think they'd be saying about their candidate at their convention... He was talking abou god and then something about killing arabs... he may have even said god said to do it... i dunno, but it was FUCKED up. If I were Kerry I'd have someone putting that into a campaign commercial pronto.

Edit: Unless it was a parody and I just missed the context...

11. I don't think they'd make it that easy for us...
It was definitely a parody.

12. In this "New American Century" reality is so warped that it is hard to
distinguish between caricature and the simple facts of how things have become.
