You put a lot of time in here and a lot of great pictures, and a real flavor of what this weekend was like in NYC.

I watched with my son...we joked this was far more enjoyable than the Thanksgiving parade and broke out in laughter every time another group went past the cameras with a form of the "Faux News Sucks" mantra (some were a bit more colorful).

My son's 17 and has the best Kerry meme I've heard...but it can only be spoken by someone his age: "Bush Wins, We All Get Drafted".

I am writing to give you the on the ground report of the RNC 2004 Anti-Bush Protest activities as lived by me and my assorted posse...
Friday - My wife, sister and I spent several days pulling together info, and materials for the big weekend. My sister had printed large color posters of some of the graphics from The Distressed American Archives at http://www.seedsofdoubt.com/distressedamerican/main.htm.

Friday night we sat up, caught a buzz and assembled all manner of devices for carrying and displaying the 10 signs that she had made. We assembled 2 back rack display devices that allowed hands free display of two posters at a time (one to the front a second facing the back). In addition several others were mounted to sticks for marching purposes. We were ready to hit the streets and tell that retarded monkey and his regime exactly how we feel about there cynical attempt to claim New York as the backdrop for his little pep rally!

By all accounts, Gail Murphy said absolutely nothing as she stood in an aisle of Madison Square Garden during Vice President Dick Cheney's speech. But it was apparently what she was wearing, or what was written on it, that caused several burly law enforcement officers to pounce on her Wednesday night.

Over her clothes, Murphy was wearing a pink slip, itself an apparent message, with the words "Cheney is in bed with Halliburton and we got screwed," scrawled in marker on one side and "Fire Cheney and Halliburton" on the other.

Civil libertarians complained yesterday that Murphy's arrest on charges of disorderly conduct was improper suppression of freedom of speech, especially since she was apparently in the hall legally with a borrowed pass.
