I'm really tired...
...of hating one-half the citizens of my country. This is ridiculous! I simply refuse to believe that my "enemy" is the one who believes in that other worldview.

Has anyone else noticed how INCREDIBLY succussful those in charge have been at getting us to fight each other? GOOD strategy: "Get the troops to fight amongst themselves while we pick off the spoils."

If there's any one thing I've really lost hope over, it's our ability as a country work together for the common good anymore. Some here have speculated that we'll see civil war or a bloodbath before we see our country united again, and I'm afraid I'm coming around to that view.

The gods help us all; it may be too late already to turn this thing around.

1. The bottom rushes towards America
though it wants to cling to its denial. A vote for Bush is a vote for denial. Change is upon us, and we are unprepared to deal with it.

We'll smack into the concrete floor rushing up at us, and it will really hurt. The Union may, in fact, not survive the experience. But I believe it will. I believe we will rise from the wreckage wrought by our own arrogance a bit wiser and a bit stronger.

We're Americans. We have 8-9 million of Mexico's strongest and most ambitious living illegally within our borders ... time to claim them as our own, 'cause they have the gumption. Call it a blood transfusion, which I personally think we desperately need.

We're a nation made of such desperados. Too many of us have forgotten our heritage and live our lives as scared white guys ... screw that. Challenges are rushing toward us. I believe that after much wailing and moaning and rending of robes, we as a people will rise.

And then Dick Cheney will be eating his lunch all by himself.

No kidding. I certainly need the transfusion.
