They don't seem to be able to make the conection between the bandaids and the insult to wounded combat veterans. It's all the usual lame stupidity we've come to expect from freepers. Don't waste your time looking.
my boy recieved a serious injury in a Marine Corp combat training exercise. 7 surgeries that left him disabled. He didn't recieve a Purple Heart because he was stateside when he was hurt. Although he was obviously more seriously injured than JK the difference is he wasn't there. That's the point for me. JK was THERE when he was hurt. That's the meaning of the Purple Heart not the extent of the injury but that the service member was actually in combat when the injury occured.
It insults the active duty soldier in combat that has been wounded.
9. Disabled vets and their relatives need to remember this.
When it comes time for republicans to decide between tax cuts for wealthy GOP donors and money for Vets who do you suppose they'll give the shaft to? Ken Lay will get the money and Vets will get a "funny" band-aid.
I say if they think it's funny to belittle the Purple Heart, have at it. Maybe Shrub himself should wear a few when he gives his speech, and he can have a good laugh at it too.
