34. Al said last night he had five goons following him around the floor

as he made the rounds. They encircled him whenever he tried to talk to someone. Today, on Majority Report he was on the floor reporting for Sam and Janeane and said there were no goons on him tonight.

So he must have cut loose on whomever the creep is he's pointing at. The hand (talk to the hand) is there to hold him back or let him know it's there or maybe is trying to take his underarm temp.

He said today he brought a peacock feather along so he could tickle the goons - since they would not talk to him or respond in any way when he tried to engage them. Alas, no goons tonight.

After Wellstone was killed a bunch of us volunteers were frantically trying to slap together a campaign for Walter Mondale, and Al showed up at this pokey little office and talked to us for awhile. Then he got on the phone and chewed up a local Repub on a radio talk show for lying about what happened at Wellstone's memorial service. He can be *very* forceful.
