Educate the Young
My teenage, high school senior, grandson, is in an advanced government class and they are discussing the upcoming Presidential election. His dad, whom I love dearly is a hard core Republican (that is what he wants others to believe, but he is really very open minded) and we his mothers parents are independent/democrats who are open to all discussions and activists. My grandson has been picking our brains for what we know about John Kerry, George W. Bush, the Republican and Democrat Parties. We have encouraged him to do searches on PNAC, John Kerry's website on his plans for Health, education, military, etc., then search for George W. Bush's plans. I have been scanning the web, radio, TV, Democracy Now, etc., etc. keeping up on the Protest's in NYC and giving him all the information that we know (grandma and grandpa). I think he is amazed that we are as well informed as we are. We always tell him to check it out for himself, he has a computer and knows how to use it to do a search. His comment tonight was, "I will talk to Dad about it," I am so proud of this young man cause I know that he will do the research to make an informed decision.

Talk to the young ones, give them the information, they are smart enough to make an informed decision if given the facts. Their lives depend upon it.
