Bush's Nickname for McCain is...HOGAN (and more nicknames)
Some of these are already known, but others are new, I think....

DIANNE FEINSTEIN AND Barbara Boxer share yet one more rare distinction: Dubya has nicknames for them. ... Not many Democrats have penetrated the presidential brain so deeply as to warrant pet names, but these two have. In Dubya-talk, Boxer is known as "Ali" and Feinstein is called "Frazier." Ali & Frazier! Get it! Two Boxers! Dubya likes it. ... Among the other Bush nicknames are "Guru" for The Farm's Condi Rice ... and "Hogan" for John McCain. That one's easy too: Hogan for "Hogan's Heroes," the TV sitcom set in a stalag. ... Dick Cheney is "Big Time" ... Barney Frank is "Sabertooth" ... and rather appropriately, that master of stink politics Karl Rove wafts forth in the bright presidential lexicon as "Turd Blossom." ...

"Hogan"...what class! Remind the guy of his time as a POW every time you speak to him, you twit. I guess McCain deserves it after his recent asskissing of Bush. I think my opinion is even lower that is was of McCain since he's putting up with that sort of a nickname.

1. And is Bush
Klink or Sgt. Schultz?

Given his mental faculties, I lean to the latter.

Whatever it is, its really sweeeeeeeeeet to make light of a POW like that.

4. Yes, I hope he gives McCain one of those Purple Heart
Band Aids just to remind him how trivial his service to his country was alongside with how funny he thinks his POW experience must have been, just like a sitcom.

2. McCain should have been given the nickname "Doormat" or "Welcome"

3. Thanks Khephra.
I needed the laugh. Do you think every time Bush strains his intellect thinking up these gems, he has to run to Crawford for another vacation to rest up for the next brain fart?

7. Actually....
I think all he does is sit around thinking up nicknames and giving speeches. He lets everyone else do the rest. ;-)

5. Leave it to Bush to trivialize people.
I hate this business of trying to make a mascot of everybody. The press tries to pass it off as playfulness, but it's really just one more means of control.

I want Bush's sorry frat-boy butt OUT of the White House.

6. We want not only him, but the whole black gold horde he rode
in on out of our government, period. If we can throw charges at them and get something to stick to bring them to trial, it will even be better.

8. Of course it's a means of control.
When you de-humanize people, by refusing to call them by their names, you are taking away their person-hood. Especially when the nicknames are unflattering, a la Hogan or Turd Blossom. It neutralizes them. And these idiots just swoon when he gives them a nickname, cause they think they're now part of the Kool Kids. Ach du leiber.

9. Evidently Shit-for-Brains thinks being held captive by the NVA
was a barrel of laughs something like a sitcom. Someone ought to enlighten the asshole that the NVA didn't regard Americans as POWs but rather as criminals and treated them accordingly. I have a good deal of respect and admiration for McCain and others like him for the price they paid. Bush, on the other hand, doesn't have a clue, which is not really that surprising considering the fact that he is mentally deficient.
