5. I hate him!!!
He hung up on me yesterday because he was trying to show "The liberal media bias" by saying that USA Today was running Michael MOrre's piece on the RNC but not Ann Coulters piece on the DNC. HE read Michael Moore's piece but not Coulter's. I called to try and get the people wacthing to understand that her piece had nothing to do with the DNC but only made fun of the people(Not the politicians)that were there. HE knew he couldn't beat me so he hung up.

7. Only one I can think of is that Richard Clarke personally
admitted sending out the Saudis on 9/11-9/12 and that * had nothing to do with it. Was not a direct claim but we all got the idea.

9. Sure.
When the congressman was asked whether he had children in Iraq (no), MM lied b/c he didn't tell the audience that the congressman has a nephew there. I mean, I always tell people I am not childless b/c I have nieces and a nephew--doesn't everyone?! :eyes:

10. When someone says the movie is full of lies I call them to their face a
LIAR I say unless you can provide absolute proof that there is a lie in the movie then I have to assume you are LYING They don't like that at all.

11. The arguments I hear most often...
1) The Saudis got no special treatment leaving the country before the skies were open again. However, F911 said that Saudi flights left "after September 13", which refutes that point.

2) Moore tried to portray Iraq as a country where kids were flying kites all over the place, instead of a country of torture chambers, mass graves of gassed schoolchildren, etc. I think that argument is bunk. Moore, as he has said often that he merely wanted to put a human face on some of the innocent people we were about to bomb, and that's exactly the same way I interpreted it watching the movie. I also found it remarkable that the gassing of the Kurds in 1988 was used as a reason why we had to go get Saddam NOW, yet it was never a factor in the first Gulf War, since back then our fingerprints were still on the chemical weapons we provided to Iraq in the 80's.

3) Newspapers all said Bush would have won Florida anyway in 2000. This one still gets my goat -- that wire story was all spin (only looking at recounts in the four counties Gore asked for, instead of the whole state).

Other than that, people criticize it for being one-sided, but that's an argument that doesn't challenge the movie's facts.

12. wasn't there something about...
a date on a newspaper. Apparently MM didn't have a shot of the actual headline on the actual date that the paper reported something, so he superimposed a correct headline on the correct paper with a masthead but didn't fix the date?

14. Who cares about the newspapers? The most damning parts of the film
are when it shows politicians using their own stupid fucking mouths to make absolute fools of themselves.

How can you "spin" that?

15. I read that he only 'enlarged' it from the middle of the paper. He didn't
alter it in any way. Still, this isn't refuting any thing mentioned in the movie. I've never heard anyone refute it, just denounce it, which isn't refuting it. If the zombies would wake-up, they might hear something reality based.
