2 repuglikans came and got Kerry yard signs this afternoon.
I volunteer at the Williamson County Democratic Headquarters

http://williamsoncountydemocrats.org/chair.html

in Round Rock from 1 to 4 PM and today several people came in asking for signs. 2 of them told me they were registered repuglicans that own businesses and are voting for Kerry because bush has hurt the economy so bad in this area that people don't have money to spend at their establishments. That made me feel damn good.

3. Hey Bearfan. I'll be volunteering next week.
Sorry I didn't respond to your email about the yard signs last week. I got one at the Kerry Meet-up last week.

5. My God, what brilliance these 2 business people
have shown. I applaud them for finally waking up, but, gee, why don't other business owners see outsourcing jobs as their major problem? It just blows me away that grownups can be so damned stupid. No jobs; no money to spend - pretty simple.

6. We need to let people know that we can push Bush below
55% in TX. He's already at 57% for the state. I want him to have to spend money here to shore up his base.

This is great news! Those signs are worth thousands in free advertisement!

7. From personal experience: I don't have any extra money to spare
we very seldom go out to eat and cut back on any "luxury" items (e.g., new clothes, movie rentals, going to the movies, etc.)

People who think tax-cuts for the rich will help the economy are complete morons. Giving money to people who already have more than they can spend is such a ludicrous concept.

People are cutting back spending because the barely make it from month to month, especially with those high gas prices.

9. They might do that here too
if we had any. Hopefully, we'll be getting some soon. In the meantime, a few people have been putting up the cardboard window signs on posts.

10. At first glance I thought this was going to be about stealing signs
in the middle of the night.

Great to see that it is about people coming to their senses.

11. I had the wrong first impression, too...
...and was all set to splutter indignantly.

This is one time I'm glad to be wrong.

I hope you're doing well by the way!

15. Yes but we are out right now.
We are supposed to be getting more in very soon. Come by for yard signs or any other stickers you want. We have bluebonnet seeds too.

I get a kick out of when people call up and ask how much for yard signs. I tell them they're free, we're Democrats.
