Just before Dennis Miller trys to crack a joke,
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 11:47 PM by Swede
he gets a gleam in his eye look "I am about to be funny",his body and voice puckers up like a large metal object is slowly being inserted where the sun don't shine, then his joke comes out so lame and flat. And he still can barely stop himself from laughing at his own unfunny joke. Dennis, you are the joke.

2. All he's got is that smirking cynicism which,
when it's lampooning the power, is often very funny. However, now that he's whoring for the right wing, it just can't carry the kind of jingoism that's his new material.

:puke:

4. I'd Be Bitter Too If Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, and
Mike Myers all went on to big careers in Hollywood, even though I had been on SNL with them. It's hard seeing Sandler become a multi-millionaire when all you get is AT&T commercials. Hell, Mr. T does AT&T commercials.

6. And the big wind-up of non sequitur stream of consciousness
babble during the joke ....it isn't funny or interesting or new anymore. It is simply pathetic, like seeing a 70's revival band of old fat guys with long hair.

7. Miller's always been an egotistical, arrogant schmuck.
He was the lamest 'Weekend Update' anchor ever. (Well, OK, maybe Nealon was equally unfunny, but at least he wasn't as smirky.)
