So sayeth Mayor Mike Bloomberg on NPR this evening, talking about Pier 57, "Gitmo on the Hudson" where NYC has been warehousing busted protestors and anyone else unlucky enough to wind up on the wrong side of the orange net.
OK, Mike, so I'll grant you, you aren't expected to have a "Princess" ship tied up at the pier, but does it do you any credit to be running a modern version of the Black Hole of Calcutta, either? Filthy floors, primitive "sanitation", no place to lay down, and I'll bet there were bugs and rats nearby, too.

"They don't DESERVE to be in 'Club Med'!"
