That was just as I heard the Weather Channel guy say there were NO bottlenecks and traffic was moving smoothly.

Then they said many areas in Central Florida are out of gas. We knew that as some in our city started running out earlier today. We are in the travel path of Vero Beach folks headed to Tampa.

That was just after I heard the Weather Channel guy say that gas would not run out, and all would be well.

Well, well.

1. Why do you hate America?
Embrace the Weather Channel. Everything is under control. * is talking to God right now. You are just crazy and imagining the things you saw because you smoke too much pot. Or else you're trying to make little Jebbie look bad. The Patriot Act has provisions for people like you....(sarcasm off)
please be safe

4. We are worried about us, too.
It is coming right over the area that was hit so hard from the other side 3 weeks ago. Very nerve-wracking.

7. I'd be totally freaked out
I thought tornadoes were worrisome but at least they are done and over with, with damage confined to a much smaller area. Well last year Tornado Tuesday was a long night around these parts. Something like 80 tornadoes that afternoon and night. That was scary but hurricane frances? Shit, and I would be shitting too. She seems awfully big to me. Hope y'all ride this out OK. Fingers crossed and thinking about all you down there. Let's hope she weakens......
a lot :scared:

Sounds like the morning commute in the Chicago area sometimes.

8. Ah, Yeehaw Junction.
I remember that well when we often traveled to Lauderdale for hubby's mom, to check up on her.

Been a while, but there was just one decent restaurant then, a Horne's or something like that. I always got breakfast because the rest of the food was no good.
