Watching JK's speech!!!---I'm Misty Eyed
I am never like this, but after four years of hell, there is finally hope!!

I really think that we are going to pull this thing off!!! Kerry has a fire in his belly now!:D

Tina is singing "Simply the Best"! I have to agree!:)

2. i just saw it on CSPAN2
How can people watch a Kerry rally and not want to root for him? He speaks of hope and the future.

And people come out in the middle of the night to see him. Did you see the entire downtown of that little town filled to watch him? And then they leave THROUGH the crowd. LETS SEE BUSH TRY THAT! NO CHANCE IN HELL!!!

Kerry gets it. America IS NOT THE MILITARY. AMERICA IS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!!!

3. That was EXACTLY what Kerry needed to do...
I must confess that I have not always been a Kerry fan but the more I see of him, the more I listen to him the more convinced I am that he is DEFINITELY the right man for the job....

As my first choice for nominee said the day after he exited the race.."Permission to come aboard, sir?"

Kerry ROCKS!!!

5. dont worry
It was RNC media blitz week. Come next week they will be on even footing. And the people already know who they want. The proof is in the crowds. Screw the media. It is the people who vote.

11. The crowd looked huge. Any estimates on how many people were
there? I thought he did very very well. Good timing too.

15. Yes!
That speech was such a breath of fresh air, and yep, he's staying around forEVER to talk to people, shake hands and sign posters. Meanwhile Bush's closest encounter with his constituents involves putting them behind fences and hay bales at even the most intimate "have you signed the loyalty oath?" speeches.

I also liked the home town marching band a lot more than the overwrought video intro to Bush's speech.

10. I felt the same way - but what average american saw kerry tonight?
That's the problem... noone saw Kerry but us... and now the hurricane is coming and all the thunder will remain with Bush... There's not much media coverage for Kerry on this.. I think mostly because the media thinks it was a low blow - however IT NEEDED TO BE DONE.. i am SO glad Kerry is fighting again!!!!!

13. a lot of people in Springfield Ohio saw him
My whole point is a small town in Ohio filled their downtown to see him at midnight. If you dont think the average American doesnt know Kerry, then please explain the huge crowds everywhere he goes around the country.

14. I have tears in my eyes too
It was a great speech (both were), but watching the two of them go through the crowd, much to the chagrin of the grim-faced secret service guys, made me tear up. These men are so fantastic! The people are excited, and acting like they're meeting rock stars. Just to see the look on the faces, the beaming faces, oh now I have to go get some Kleenex. They're still signing autographs!

THANK YOU C-SPAN!
