Is Darrell Hammond a Repug ?

Not nonpartisan and ready to party: Darrell Hammond, of "Saturday Night Live" fame, apparently outed himself as a Bush-Cheney supporter at a party in honor of John McCain on Wednesday night. But Joe Piscopo, also at the bash and saluting McCain with a version of Frank Sinatra's "My Way" called "The McCain Way," insists that if he does end up running for governor of New Jersey, which he's been hinting at ever more strongly, it will be as an independent. "All I'll say is that we're putting together an exploratory committee and we'll probably do a pro-New Jersey rally later this month," Piscopo said, "after I finish my Vegas shows." (Rush and Molloy)

1. I would believe he is. I've seen him on various interviews refusing to

be critical of Bush.

2. At Shrub's 1st White House Correspondents' Dinner,

where the tradition they set for CLINTON was to bash him to death each year, especially when IMUS did it at the height of the FAKE impeachment---------

HAMMOND was featured, was sweaty and nervous, and did his whole routine bashing CLINTON, Hillary, and GORE------NOTHING on Shrub---this with Shrub and CHEENEE absolutely GLARING at him all the while.

Afterwards, the rags dribbled out that CHEENEE's thugs had threatened him about NOT ridiculing Shrub.

After that he was on the LENO thing and did a very namby-pamby, whiney thing about how people just OVER REACT to "comedians", that "I'm JUST a comedian".

Will FERRELL was always GREAT doing Shrub during Campaign 2000, but that all ended with 9-11, meaning that Shrub has been on the gravy train CONTINUOUSLY.

HAMMOND's characterization of President GORE has always been BRUTAL, and when he first started doing Tweety he was O.K. in hitting at Tweety. But as time went on with Tweety, he started painting Tweety as being the SANE one at the center of a cast of WACKY guests, which is letting Tweety off the hook.

And, needless to say, Tweety took the debut of himself with complete ego, saying, "I am now an icon. I have been 'done' on SNL."

So, is he a Repuke? Can't say, but he hurts us more than he hurts them.

he is NOT listed, neither in the Search boxes nor in the listing of t.v. stars. Perhaps, he just is apolitical OR could it be that he's just CHEAP.

4. He does a funny Clinton imitation...

...but in interviews always seems unable to acknowledge Clinton's many strengths, and he is STILL making fun of Clinton, so I wouldn't be surprised if he fancies himself a "moderate repug"
