Three quarters of Al Qaeda key members captured?
Is anyone in the press/media asking for proof of this assertion made
in Bush's speech last night?

1. Three quarters of Pre-9/11 Al Qaeda membership
Of course this doesn't include the exploding new membership and assumes that we have an accurate count of the numbers, which we obviously don't. Don't hold your breath for a media analysis of this statement, it's just another one of those phrases that sounds good to the GOP base, but is otherwise meaningless.

3. I know it naive, but I can't believe the press doesn't nail him......
on statements like that. After all, he's running as the Anti-Terrorist
President!

2. Well, my dog and I have captured at least 300 members all ourselves
I don't need to give anyone proof. So there.

4. How about an Al Qaeda org chart, dated before 2001?
That way we know that the list wasn't made up at Junior's convenience, to arrest random Arabs and claim them as "Al Qaeda".

5. To get the %, how the hell is Al Qaeda's total membership calculated?
Do they have a membership roster? Online enrollment? Do they take roll call? Where exactly are they? Who are they?

Oh, that's right -- they're the perfect Orwellian boogeyman -- here, there, everywhere...the "TERR-ISTS!" :scared:

What horseshit.

6. That's exactly the sort of question the press should be asking! n/t
