Pretty Woman: Zell, you ain't Julia Roberts
Zell, Zell, Zell. You haven't learned the two most important lessons of being a prostitute:

1. Your john will never take you home to meet his mother.
2. When "the act" is over, you are expected to get out of the car, take your money and slink off quietly into the night.

George Bush isn't going to show up bearing roses at your apartment in a limo to sweep you away to a cozy government post.

Tsk. Tsk. Maybe you'll learn from this.

3. What was it that pissed off Zel so much that caused him to do this?
Or is he simply going after attention to promote his damn book?

4. Supposedly...
I have heard that James Carville and someone else (can't remember names well - sorry) had wanted Gore to pick Zell as his running mate. When Gore didn't, Zell had some resentment. Then 9/11 happened and he flipped out a bit. His "patriotism" welled up and he started voting with repubs. He hasn't looked back since.

Plus he wants to sell his book and maybe is hoping to get a job in the administration - ambassador maybe.

The last sentence was my own opinion but probably right. :)

5. I was wondering it's money or some sort of imbalance.
Seriously, I thought that Miller wanted to look after himself properly after retiring from the Senate, and so he is making friends with Mammon in order to ease his way into a cushy corporate position.

The other possibility I thought of was that he's somehow unstable -- a crisis, an imbalance, the beginnings of some kind of dementia. That sounds harsh, but some people do experience what borders on a personality change at Miller's stage in life (or at least a personality that becomes more deeply dyed...).

7. Some people get meaner as they get older
I think that Zell is one of those people. It may be a crisis of faith or maybe money. I just can't understand it. He was actually surprized when Wolf Blitzer told him that he looked angry.

I start to feel sorry for him and then I see his speech.

Whatever his reasons, he is a hate-filled man.

6. The Bush's scratched "Sellout" Zell and his wife from appearing w/them
in their section during Junior's acceptance speech. Zig Zag is already directed to the back of the bus along with, J.C. Watts and Colin Powell. Oh, the irony. :bounce:

sending him off to the mountains to strum his duet with his twin
with the missing teeth in Deliverance. He is a pathetic inbred who wouldn't know how to spell loyalty and principles if anyone asked.
