lower right-hand corner of New York State. Hubby (on the fence about who he's voting for) and I were at our lawyers today and we got into a conversation with two construction workers - very nice guys. My husband, who knows I get a bit passionate about the election, baited them by saying, "Who are you guys voting for?"

Long story short, both had previously voted for Bush, but said this year they're voting for Kerry. One kinda hedged, saying, "But there are so many things Kerry voted against." I cautioned him, saying, "Be certain you know what was contained in the bills that he voted no on - sometimes there's a lot of pork in those." He agreed, and said that he "actually voted for Clinton" the second time around (like my husband) and that he thought Clinton was the "best president" he's ever experienced.

There is hope! People are coming around, they're all around us :)
