Be sure and view the tape. He was respectful to all callers but would not allow the pro-Bushies to make statements without asking them to tell where they got their information, backup their assertions, etc.

Very smart, he needs to get out more.

3. It's worth trying until you get thru

I mean, Alterman calls shrub out for his lies. He puts 1 repuke in their place after another. He even gives that Brian Lamb a subtle shot on his bias. He goes after cable news, many things we feel are important about the state of news and politics of today!

I'm listening right now. I love Alterman. He does not mince words. It's so refreshing to hear someone speak directly without lots of semantic tricks and bullshit. Just hearing someone out there say "Bush is a liar" and so it straight out is music to my ears.

7. Well it went something like this...

He was discussing how everyone has a opinion but that facts should only be used when presenting a story. During this train of thought he said to Lamb, "Brian you have your bias but you do a better job then most in disguising it"...that wasn't nowhere near a direct quote but the meaning was the same.

he doesn't sugar-coat and play nice. He comes right back swinging. And that's what we all need to do. No more congeniality awards. Call the liars out. Talk over their heads. Use the facts. Use references. They can only parrot hate radio. We're smarter. We're more informed. We're even better looking. Use it.

9. Ah, the crazy pro-Bush callers

These people are stuck on stuff that was said 2 or 3 years ago that has now been proven false. They all seem to have this time-warp mentality that stuff thought to be true is still true even when there's overwhelming evidence out there now that states otherwise. I guess that adding to the problem is that these people probably get 100% of their 'news' from Fox News or Rush Limbaugh, so they even believe crazy crap like Saddam was involved in 9/11.
