What's this about Clinton's health? What the hell have I missed?

Seriously! Reading the Clinton posts at DU tonight is the first I've heard about the man having health problems. What happened to him? And just how far out of the loop am I? :shrug:

1. He's going to have a quadruple bypass.

He was experiencing chest pains.

3. My baby will have to have bypass surgery soon.

He went to the doctor yesterday with chest pains and it was determined that he had blockage. He was well enough to return home that night but checked in the hospital this morning for his scheduled surgery within a couple of days. There are threads up in General Discussion to post your well wishes.

a Get Well card from my family. Does anybody know where things like this are to be sent?

Who asks that cards be sent to his office , NOT the hospital.

9. His stress tests were all negative

He explained this on Larry King. I work coronary care, and have seen it myself. You can have normal stress tests and EKG's, YET still have narrowing in your coronary arteries. Clinton said it wasn't until he had the angiogram (his first) that it showed the extent of the disease. He said the heart muscle was not damaged (the pumping part)which is critical in surviving heart disease. (Cheney's heart muscle is severely damaged and pumps at 20% of what it should, like a slab of jello, in comparison).

And strange as it may sound, I also wish George W. Bush another 20 or more years on this planet. Why? So he'll die with an idea of how history will remember his corrupt, incompetent administration!
