1. I think a movie that

resembles what we're going through right now is the South Park movie. Everyone gets offended by a movie, so they get behind the president, blame Canada for everything (like France), persecute Canadians and people who curse in America and invade Canada after a plane attack in Hollywood....
Maybe a bad comparison. Oh well.

I agree totally with your assessment. Michael Moore was 10 years ahead of his time. He received a poor rating for his movie when it came out but it wasn't relative in 1995. Now of course it is very relative. Maybe that's why it was resurrected lately and has been showing at least once a week. Good old Rove caught on and used the theme.

By the way, you missed the best quote of all. The one Rummy was thinking when we went after Iraq. I can't remember the exact quote but it was something like "You can't keep a total military/Industrial complex employed going after seven terrorists you need to have a war with a nation".
