something for flowers? I don't think that Skinner, et al need to cover that cost. I'd really like to do more than send well wishes. How does everyone else feel? I know we are all being tapped out supporting candidates, causes, and friends in jail. Do we have any more to give?

he wanted other people in the hospital to get flowers who dont get them. HOW we know who they are, I have no idea. Send them to him, with a note saying :give them to the person of your choice"

they go. I'm certain they would be touched and feel lots of love. To heck with donations to a library! Fill a hospital with lots of beauty. Fill up the caregivers desks! It's what I did the last time.

6. Here's a radical idea.......

Rather than sending more to a family who already has lots of $$$, and has said they don't want flowers anyway, how 'bout doing something, in their name, for those who DO have a need?

In view of the recent posts about violence against women, how 'bout sending a donation to a shelter for battered women in your area, and sending the Clinton's a card telling them of your donation in their names? I'm sure *that* would be appreciated by both of them.

It would certainly be appreciated by the women who are badly needing the help.

What makes most sense is donating to local battered women shelters. I know the one where I live, but I can't look up shelters all over the country.

I could post a couple for Colorado, and someone could take other states. How's that?

9. Kanary, I've been out all day. I like both ideas. I want Flowers and

I want to help where you suggest. I think most of us do. Let's go forward on this, it seems to have fallen off the map. DU'ers we are all being tapped out, but it is for good causes. Those of us that have to give, let's give! What moves your heart and get behind it. We all need to come together as we never have before in our lifetimes! We are at a crossroads and I believe we just might make it to the other side, maybe.

So, where are we on this guys? (guys not to mean either gender, form of address coming out of having grown up in Colorado, it's instead of "ya'll" as in Texas style).
