2. Maybe President Kerry will get the
CIA to pull their funding, and we won't have to be subjected to "intellectual" propaganda.

3. It's Kuwait
The Bushes own half of it, don't they?

Seriously, the Kuwaitis are going to carry water for the Bush family for a few more decades at least. It's a kingdom run by a very wealthy tribe that has become so spoiled they have to import a workforce just to handle day-to-day jobs like hauling trash, repairing roads, etc.

The only thing they have is money. I can't imagine they'd have much impact on U.S. voters.

7. Remind Folks That Dubya Is Botching War on Terror
The best way to counter such articles is to remind our fellow American voters that Dubya & Co is botching the war on Terror.

Sure, getting rid of Saddam Hussein's regime was a good thing. But did it help hinder al Qaeda? No. Did the US invasion find conclusive ties between secularist tyrant Hussein and fundamentalist fanatic bin Laden? No. Did it make the Middle East a safer, more stable place? No. Did it make Iraq more friendly towards the US? No. Did it lessen US dependence on Saudi oil (The country from whence a lot of al Qaeda donations come from)? No.

8. It wasn't as "good" as cons will have you to believe.
In the big picture, Saddam is one of many brutal dictators. North Korea, Azerbaijan (who WE actively support), Zimbabwe, Sudan, PR China and other governments are just as repressive as Saddam was. Why was he singled out? It couldn't be because his country has the 2nd largest oil reserves in the world, could it?
Iraq can only be successfully held together by a brutal strongman, like it or not. How many different religious and ethnic factions are there? The country will never survive true democracy unless it splits into a commonwealth of states or something less centralized. And at least when Saddam was in power, they actually had a semblance of "order". You could actually walk the streets with relatively little threat to you. The mass graves everyone talks about are the remains of the revolt that Bush I started and then decided to abandon. Their blood is on Bush's hands as much as Saddam's. I'm so tired of all the conservatives: "No! Look! He was a bad guy! Bush is so awesome!"
