I have a friend that posts on a pottery forum and I'm always surprised when these forums get political, but apparently it happens all the time.

You did a great job. I would tend to think that organic gardeners would naturally lean Democrat, but those Republicans are everywhere, and yes, they should wear parachutes.

4. I'm on a forum where politics were being discussed & the majority

of us were Democrats, so the Repubs all whined, then eventually just left. (It *wasn't* a political board but the topic kept surfacing.)

I've never seen anything like it--they had no sensible arguments for ANY of their Repuke crap and when it was pointed out (snopes is great for that), they cried, whined, then folded.

Weird.

We sometimes have gardening discussions down in The Meeting Room. Do feel free to join us -- or start discussions. Frankly, I'm very surprised at how few "liberal" gardeners are organic gardeners. :-( So consider yourself drafted. :-)

Thanks for the invite. I encourage you to check out the OG forum. There are really warm, caring people who post there. And some of my OG buddies are soooooooo knowledgeable about everything organic. A lot of them steer clear of politics and work hard to keep it positive. Then there are the instigators (on both sides). :)

And thanks for responding. This is not as much of a vanity post as a thanks. I don't think I could have stood up to that guy so well a few months ago. You all are challenging me to keep learning and to keep pace with what's really going on.
