Does Dennis Miller remind anyone else of a raging, Hitleristic lunatic?
It seems like at least five times per show, he says something about "killing the terrorists" (always in the context of some pro-Bush, fawning statement to make sure his opinion is known).

"Kill them", "kill", "kill".

If any of you watch the show, you know what I'm talking about. He sounds like a reactionary simpleton who thinks life revolves around shooting all the bad brown men dead - and if you don't re-elect Bush, you will all die.

Today he actually said something about health care in America not being important (countering a Democrat speaking about the upcoming election) -- instead, Bush just has to "kill the terrorists", and that'll ensure that Miller doesn't have to go to the hospital when they attack him. So terrorist-killing >>>>>>> health-care.

Makes a lot of sense, right? We should also just stop worrying about pollution, because there will be no environment if TERRORISTS BLOW UP THE WORLD! And stop caring about outsourcing, because you wouldn't have a job if a TERRORIST KILLED YOU had George W Bush not taken the fight to Iraq! Anyway..

Am I the only one sensing a bit of a murderous, Hitler-like mentality on this asshole's part, all the time, on every show? When he goes into a speech about why he's supporting Bush, why Bush is right, why Bush needs to be elected so he can kill all those awful Arabs -- it just scares me that an unfunny, simpleminded, smirking full-on FREEPER such as Dennis Miller can have a political program and get paid for it. Only in America, as Don King - another Bush-supporting mental case - would say.

3. Dennis Miller is a pathetic wretch
AND he has become a crashing bore. Ignore him. If you find him on the street and he's on fire, don't bother pissing on him.

6. No.
That would, ultimately, be a waste of urine.

Put it to good use instead. Decorate your toilet - or a friend's!

8. Reminds me of Silver also who switched. Kind of a "guy" thing.
They think that the only way to deal with things is to be "tough" and to "threaten."

14. Also kind of an "insane guy thing." Both Miller and Silver seem to have...
gone around the bend somehow. They're both fidgety, nervous, twitchy, and so on. Those public physical expressions of discomfort, combined with the sweeping changes in their personalities are, IMO, signs that these two guys have had nervous breakdowns.

10. Anger is fear in drag. He's pretty angry, so I figure his fear must be
a 7 foot tall Mae West impersonator.

9/11 scared the shit out of him. He was never a great comedian to begin with, he was midlist at best and a libertarian, but 9/11 scared him. Maybe he was supposed to be in the WTC that day or maybe he'd had to change a flight schedule that just barely kept him off one of the planes.

But he's a scared, sad little man. And he's compensating by wanting to murder the objects of his fear, hoping that if they're dead, they will die in his mind, too. He's wrong, of course; the fear is no longer external, but internal.

I feel sorry for him. Not that I'm volunteering to take him into my practice, mind you... I've got plenty of dumbshits locally to choose from.

12. That's an interesting point about his fear...
My take is that it was a simple marketing move. He saw a slot on the right wing for a mid-level comic, and jumped in. There's no shortage of black-tie gigs, and I'm sure the perks are good too. His career was fading, and now he's got his show. But I'm going to think about your psych. eval, too. There's something to that.
