Bush/Victor Ashe/Mortgages and their ownership of us all...
This is most likely well known to some or most here but is a new fresh hell of info to me. I googled Ashe when someone in another post suggested that him and Gorge have a special relationship and this is what I found.
repaste from another thread that I believe deserves it's own spotlight.

President George W. Bush has announced the appointment of Knoxville Mayor Victor Ashe, a Past President and current member of the Executive Committee of The U.S. Conference of Mayors, to the Board of Directors of Fannie Mae, the nation's largest source of financing for home mortgages. Ashe is the first mayor to serve on Fannie Mae's Board of Directors.

Part of our concern with Fannie and Freddie has been the level of complexity. Freddie Mac announced that it had significantly understated past earnings. Fannie Mae announced it had “made an error of more than $1 billion in a quarterly earnings release.” One newspaper reported that "N. Gregory Mankiw, Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, told a group of state bank supervisors that the companies are so large and complex that it is hard even for the companies themselves to keep track of their own situations." The risk of a catastropic failure at Freddie or Fannie causing a meltdown of the U.S. mortgage market may be growing.

JESUS H. CRIPES!! now I know what Bush's 'ownership' sound byte really means: HIM AND HIS FREAKS OWN ALL OF US! Is there any place anywhere that is BushSlimeless?

2. Don't know that Ashe can remain on the board...
... of Fannie Mae. Bush nominated him as the latest ambassador to Poland in June, 2004.

Cheers.

3. 'pole' land? ya know the rumours...
I am not so familiar with the chain of events and chronology here, but Ashe could have done his 'job' at Freddie then promoted/removed.

always suspicious.
