It's easy to be a Republican.
You only worry about your immediate family.
You only worry about your stuff and how to keep it.

You don't worry about the misfortune of others.
You couldn't care less about the enviroment (even though your grandkids will pay a heavy price for you excess.)

Pretty simple philosophy.

1. That describes my late father, but he was a Democrat.
Of course, my father was a Democrat mainly because he belonged to a labor union.

2. Real Republicans don't care about their family....
They're waiting for Mumsy and Poppy to kick the bucket so they can get at the inheritance.

3. Family... And don't give me a hand-me-down world...
Repukes only care for themselves. They often divorce that the drop of a hat.

They speak of families and children yet the world they're handing down is not one we would want to live in. But we're trying to maintain our sick way of life, so we'll leave the mess for them.

Repukes are not responsible in any sort.

4. To believe all of this and be a Christian at the same time.
No wonder these people are so strange. The cognitive
dissonance is frightening.

5. My take.
I always figured being a Republican meant seeing how selfish you could be while convincing other people you're the world's greatest philanthropist.

"Cutting my taxes helps the economy, which boosts your salary."

"If you expect Chevron to pay to clean up that oil spill, that'll translate to higher gas prices. Are you saying one baby seal is more important to you than your Suburban and freedom to drive?"

"Gay people can't get married because it hurts your children. Trust me."

7. Your headline is quite true
I cannot think of a truer statement.

Pukes don't worry about their immediate families, unless it is to use them as a pawn in their "family values" game. Families are great until you have to pay for them, then they become so much extra baggage on the role to help oneself to the big enchalada. Numero Uno. Gimme, Gimme, Gimme. Mine Mine Mine. Now Now Now.

It is easier to hate than love, to riducule than to care, to amass than to give away, to bully than to accept, to leave your mess rather than clean it up, to posture than to admit ones' errors. How true that it is easy to be a Puke.

9. I would only disagree with the "easy" part
I used to be one and it was difficult because when you are a repuke you are scared all the time. You are scared of losing what you have to an illegal or a minority etc, cause they tell you that to give to them takes from you. You are scared about crime and you are scared (or were scared) of "commies", you are scared the environmentalists will return your town to the wilderness. To be a repuke is to live with fear all the time :scared:
