42% of registered voters still think Saddam involved in 9/11
And, among registered voters, 44 percent think Saddam Hussein's regime was not directly involved in 9-11 (42% say it was).

2. It used to be at least 50% who believed there was a connection
So this is, indeed, an improvement of the American mind.

4. An interesting correlating question would be-
Are you a Republican/Democrat/Independent.

I'm convinced that a large portion of the 42% don't really believe it, but are willing to state it so because it provides cover for this administration's actions in invading Iraq.

6. This is excellent.
It means that these meme is well on its way to being reduced to an article of faith among the GOP core, and their fellow travelers in the ever shrinking pile of "swing voters" (who are not proably less than 10% of the electorate).

That means that almost 60% of the electorate here Bush say that and have to say to themselves, "what an idiot! Does he think we're stupid or something?"

9. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge....That's this admin
They are straight out of the monty Python skit.

They wink, wink, nudge, nudge, to disavow that connection, but then Bush appears on Rush Limbaugh who promulgates it.

They wink, wink, nudge, nudge the Swift Boat wackos, and then Courvier who appears in the ad is given a new administration position along with another one of them.

They wink, wink, nudge, nudge the No Child Left Behind, but then underfund and even Texas can;t meet the current criteria.

They wink, wink, nudge, nudge Iraq's danger to us, and then alter say, sorry I nevr said the word "imminent"

In fact, Eric Idle hates Bush...Maybe Kerry or at least MoveOn.Org could hire him to do his Wink, Wink, Nudge, Nudge character and highlight this stuff. Then he can sing his masterful Thank You Mr. Bush song at the end.

11. 911 Attack and Iraq
Even at the Con-vention the two were mingled. The Neo Fascists know how to spread mis-info all the while denying that they do so. Dems need to study their methods.
