Kerry's Biggest Weapons: Iran-Contra, Bush's environmental record, & F9/11
Democrats tell Kerry to turn up the heat, oh yeah baby! And boy oh boy does he have the weapons to hit them with!

First I'll talk about Bush's environmental record, that is one area where Bush can't really hide. Let me tell you why, he can't flub the evidence as easily as jobs reports. People are getting sick from the water and food they ingest. People can't eat the tuna fish b/c of all the Mercury and slowly the air pollution in our big cities is killing people. He can't flub it b/c everyone already knows Bush doesn't mind drilling in Alaska, and that going along with big business means not going along with the environment. Kerry has one of the most echo-friendly records of all Senators over the last 20 years. If anything Kerry can say I fought to keep poison out of your drinking water. Bush sure can't say that. He is shit on the environment and it is KILLING people.

Iran Contra is the ace up Kerry's sleeve, he personally outed it and his turn into the attack on Cheney's Halliburton connections assures me he will use it. People are long past due a history lesson of what Bushco was up to in the 80's, Iran Contra was then and is now the biggest hole in credibility that happened for the entire span of Reagan/Bush I. I can't wait.

And let's not forget that F9/11 will be out in October, with Iran Contra in our political discussion F9/11 will be a great thing to behold. Moore has so wonderfully crafted together a big ball of truth about the connections between Bushco and the Arab oil producing world. Everyone is going to watch it and it does a pretty good job of outing the Bushco Media. And once people see it, they will think, "now why did the TV not want me to watch it?" I love that the media made such a big deal of it. They all screamed "Lies, lies, lies!" and people are going to know why. I love it! F9/11 is and has been the #1 seller on Amazon's DVD list and it doesn't come out for another month! People are watching this movie and luckily for us that is all it takes for a seed of distrust to be sown into the sheeple. God Bless Michael Moore!

Don't worry about the polls, TIME and Newsweek, give me a break! Both are owned by AOL/TIME/Warner and the Saudis, it is 2000 re-due baby and this time we are on to them.

Kerry is a fighter, his speech on Thursday was fucking awesome, he is going to give it to them. The pleasantries are over and the gloves are off. They may have the media, but we can PROVE what they have been up to and the truth is on our side.

:toast:
To the fight ahead, let us all take a deep breath and try to keep our cool. Until the Kerry in inauguration may when we can breath a deep and well deserved sigh of relief.

I love you guys

:pals:

1. I say it's that terror and national insecurity is NOT an excuse for...

...Americans to accept less in terms of opportunities and happiness, and that they don't justify transferring huge amounts of wealth from the workers who create it to the already wealthy.

In fact, as FDR taught us, America is safest when all its citizens are strong. We're only as strong as our weakest link, and right now the Republicans are making every working person in America a weak link. We need to strengthen the people Bush is hurting.

2. Unless he starts to buffet these tax hike claims
he is going to lose ground. chimp laid the ground work for this election over the last 3 years by doing the tax cut and getting us into a war. These are really the only things he could actually do and he really did them. So now, in spite of all the shit that has gone bad and that he didn't do, the only thing we hear about is taxes and the war.

3. I think poisoning Americans should be high on the list, it is something

the repubs can't even fight it. I can not imagine anything worse than a president that would allow his people to be poisoned, Kerry can hit him hard with it too.

4. Trouble with the poisoning is that even though it is true,
most people would refuse to believe it. Just like they refuse to believe that Iraq is a horrible mess.

8. agreed - To Bad to Be True syndrome
I read an article about that a few months back - The Bush record on the environment is so f-ing bad that nobody believes it. Even most Republicans understand the need for a good environment.

So, when stories come out that Bush is literally raping the forests, poisoning our drinking water and spewing toxic waste into the air nobody believes it. It must be an exaggeration. After all, nobody can be that against the environment, right?

5. Kerry can grab headlines by . . .
providing a list of specific Bush regulatory changes and executive orders relating to the environment that he will overturn during his first month in office . . . let's see BushCo try to defend a fifty item list . . .

9. I agree....
Iran-Contra hasn't been mentioned, except on formats like DU. It's high time we bring it back to the table. Again, the grass-roots is able to do this. Write a letter to your local newspaper, and compare the Plame-spy scandal(s) to Iran-Contra.

On the environment, I'd like to see Kerry appear in public with Robert Kennedy, Jr., and high-light some of the issues that RFK has done such an intense job on in his new book, "Crimes Against Nature." The republicans and Fox News can assure us that no one cares about environmental issues. Baloney. Let's show the public who doesn't care about environmental issues.

10. If you believe Mike Ruppert,
Kerry didn't uncover everything about Iran-Contra. From Ruppert's speech at the Commonwealth Club:

WHILE MANY ACTIVISTS REGARD 2004 DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE KERRY AS SOMETHING OF A HERO FOR BRINGING MANY DETAILS OF IRAN-CONTRA DRUG ACTIVITIES TO LIGHT (AND INTO THE PUBLIC RECORD), OTHERS, MORE DEEPLY VERSED IN THE EVIDENTIARY RECORD, SUSPECT THAT HE ALSO DID A MASTERFUL JOB OF KEEPING SOME OF THE MOST DAMAGING IRAN-CONTRA SECRETS — ESPECIALLY RECORDS OF CIA PROPRIETARY COMPANY OPERATIONS — HIDDEN. I AM AMONG THE LATTER GROUP.

I think Iran-Contra is much too hot for everyone involved in today's politics on either side of the political fence. I'm sure it will not be discussed.
